Das Hotel Mariandl wurde für 2 Wochen bildenden Künstler_innen für ein Ausstellungsprojekt des Kulturreferats München überlassen. Die Installation thematisiert in einem Hotelzimmer die Situation eines politisch verfolgten Schriftstellers aus der Kabylei in Algerien. Zwei Monitore, angebracht über dem Bett zeigen die Künstlerin und den Exil Schriftsteller die über ihre Situation und die damit einhergehenden Gedanken und Gefühle des Fremdseins, ihrer Vergangenheit usw. sprechen. Im Fenster ist ein Großbildia Leuchtkasten welcher eine Straßenszene in Algerien zeigt.
The installation in a hotel in Munich deals with the situation of a writer from the Kabylia region in Algeria, who due to political persecution, had to go into exile in his own country. 2 video screens are placed above the bed. The artist and the writer talk amongst other things, about their situation and their past, about their feelings and thoughts on displacement, alienation and the other etc. In the window a large lightbox shows a street scene in Algier.
